Amplifier

An amplifier or simply amp generally refers to any device used to change, usually increase, the amplitude of a signal. In popular use, an amplifier usually describes an electronic amplifier, in which the input signal is usually a voltage or a current.

Our amplifiers are RGB amplifiers and DC amplifiers. By voltage, our amplifiers can be grouped into 12V amplifiers, 24V amplifiers, 5V amplifiers, 6V amplifiers and so on.

The relationship of the input to the output of an amplifier, which is usually expressed as a function of the input frequency, is called the transfer function of the amplifier. The magnitude of the transfer function is termed the gain.

According to the input they are designed to amplify, there are guitar amplifiers to perform with an electric guitar. According to the device they are intended to drive, there are headphone amplifiers. According to the frequency range of the signals, there are audio, IF, RF and VHF amplifiers. According to whether they invert the signal, there are inverting amplifiers and non-inverting amplifiers. According to the type of device used in the amplification, there are valve or tube amplifiers, FET amplifiers and so on.

A transducer, a transformer or a sensor is a device that emphasizes the conversion of signals from one type to another, for example, a light signal in photons to a DC signal in amperes. However, none of these devices can amplify power.
